The Giant Mountains
/Krkonoše/ with its National Park is the most visited place out of three national parks
founded in the Czech Republic. The Giant Mountains are interesting both for tourists who
are anxious for the highland tours (available different conducted tours, ideal conditions
for cyclo-tourism, down-hill and cross-country skiing, ...) and for tourist who are
looking for easeful holiday (walking along educational footpath, visiting of near towns -
Janské Lázně with 30 thermal springs, Dvůr Králové with famous SAFARI, castle Kuks,
Pančava. Labe, and Mumlava waterfalls , caves, ...)
The town Vrchlabí has ever been called "the gate to the Giant Mountains" . In
Vrchlabí you can find Hotel and Boarding House ALBIS - the complex of buildings built up
in 1990-1995 . In its neighbourhood you can find three ski-lifts (about 300m from Hotel),
lookout tower on the top of Zalý, and several summer and winter conducted tours. In
Vrchlabí you can visit the Museum of the Giant Mountains, swimming pool,
riding-school,... The complex of Hotel and Boarding House ALBIS is 8 km from Spindlerův
Mlýn- the centre of winter sports (you can even visit there the sleight path ).
